Key West Weddings on Boats
Get married on a romantic Key West sunset sail. Weddings at sea are very popular in Key West and there are a variety of boats available. For intimate weddings there are many boats which carry only 6 passengers. Some of the larger boats carry up to 125 passengers. Each boat has a maximum passenger capacity which has been set by the United States Coast Guard. It is important to include officiants, photographers, musicians, etc. in your final count. Boats are available for private charter or you may purchase individual tickets on a "public" sail. There will be other passengers onboard to join in your celebration. TRADITIONAL SCHOONERS
Climb aboard a traditional schooner for a classic sailing experience. Help the crew raise the sails, take the wheel or just relax and enjoy the clear blue waters of Key West. Seating is available on the cabin tops and, on some boats, in the cabin below deck. Hold up your glass and toast as you watch the sun melt into the sea.
LUXURY YACHTS
Relax and let the captain and crew take care of you. Sailing yachts have comfortable seating available in the cockpit. Wedding ceremonies may be performed on the bow of the boat or at the stern (on larger boats). The comfortable cabins below also provide more seating.
SAILING CATAMARANS
Enjoy the stablility and comfort of a large sailing catamaran. Most have covered and un-covered bench seating plus tables for serving food. Perfect for sailors and "landlubbers", too.    |
